Day Three: Lisbon - Fatima

  • Lisbon - capital of Portugal, where the ambitions of Henry the Navigator in the 15th Century set in motion the Voyages of Discovery, which would eventually lead to the discovery of America. See the Cathedral of Lisbon, where St. Anthony of Padua was baptized, Jeronimo's Monastery and the elegant Avenida da Liberdade.
  • Fatima - where the Blessed Virgin appeared to three small children in 1917, the Marian Shrine has become one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe, close to the heart of Pope John Paul II.

Day Four: Fatima - Oporto - Santiago de Compostela

  • Oporto - the town so ancient it claims to have been founded by Noah, which has given its name to the world's favorite dessert wine.

Day Five: Santiago de Compostela

  • Santiago de Compostela - since the Middle Ages one of the holiest shrines in the Christian church, the Way of St. James remains today one of the most trodden pilgrimage routes.

Day Six: Santiago de Compostela - Santillana del Mar - Santander

  • Santillana del Mar - a Spanish national landmark, one of Europe's best preserved medieval villages, whose monastery houses the relics of St. Juliana.

Day Seven: Santander - Pyrenees - Lourdes

  • Pyrenees - the mountain border between Spain and France with spectacular and breathtaking panoramas.

Day Eight: Lourdes

  • Lourdes - where the Blessed Virgin appeared in 18 visions to St. Bernadette in 1858, the Marian Shrine has become one of the most important pilgrimage sanctuaries in Europe.

Day Nine: Lourdes - Paris Orly Airport - Lisieux - Paris

  • Lisieux - Sanctuary of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, Carmelite nun and Doctor of the Church, whose devotion to the Lord was developed in her 'little way'.

Day Ten: Paris

  • Paris - the City of Lights, capital of France and one of the world's most romantic cities. See the Cathedral of Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal.

Day Eleven: Paris - USA
