Day Six: Taormina

Day Nine: Sorrento - Pompeii - Herculaneum - Rome

  • Pompeii and Herculaneum - both buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD., the excavations give a fascinating insight into everday life in the Roman Empire.

Days Ten and Eleven: Rome

  • Rome - the Eternal City still casts its magical spell 2000 years after it was the capital of the known world. See the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica.
